Modern military tactics require infantry engagement well beyond 400 meters and
even up to 1,000 meters.  

The CIS 5.56mm ER ammunition was developed for enhanced range and
penetration similar to the M855, but without the need to retrofit your present 1 in 12
weapon.  With the CIS 5.56mm ER you upgrade your ammunition, not your weapon
for far reaching effectiveness.
